This pizza sauce tastes like the sauce you would find at your local pizza place and has a lot of flavors. Most sauces require you to cook it before using on the pizza whereas this sauce doesn't require that extra step, but if you want to cook it down go ahead! it will improve and marry the flavors. Most of the ingredients you will probably have right in your pantry, or fridge. Be sure to try it using fresh ingredients, however dry works just as well too.
Yields 2-3 Cups
Ingredients
1 can (1 6 oz) - tomato paste
1/3 cups - olive oil
1.5 cups - water
2 - garlic cloves minced
1/4 cup - oregano chopped (fresh) 1/2 tbsp. DRY
1/4 cup - basil chopped (fresh) 1/2 tbsp. DRY
*1 tbsp. - rosemary chopped (fresh) 1 tsp. DRY
Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
Chopped your fresh herbs or gather your dry herbs,
In a medium sized bowl add your oil and paste and mix thoroughly, next add your water*
Stir in the remaining ingredients until combined. Add the salt and pepper to taste.
*When adding the water, the sauce will be very runny, this is ok and how we use it. If you like a thicker sauce, simply add less water.
*The girls love the taste of rosemary, me not so much; sometimes I don’t add it to the sauce it's not a deal breaker so leave it out if you don't like it
